HMD says Xpress Chat can connect the Nokia 210 4G with other Xpress Chat users, including people using the smartphone app. The service supports video calls, voice messages, text chats, photos, and group conversations. That gives the phone a different role from older feature phones that were limited mainly to calls and SMS.
The dedicated AI-assistant button is another unusual addition. HMD describes voice actions such as turning on the torch, opening the camera, setting reminders or alarms, calling a contact, and answering questions. The assistant is not the same as having full smartphone app access: HMD says a smartphone app is required to purchase a subscription after the 180-day free trial.
What are the trade-offs?
The phone keeps the physical-keypad experience and S30+ platform. The catalog record lists a 2.4-inch QVGA display, a 1,450 mAh battery, 4G connectivity, a 0.3-megapixel rear camera, a 0.3-megapixel front camera, and microSD support. Those specifications suit basic communication, but they do not offer the app flexibility, screen size, or camera quality of a smartphone.
Video calling also depends on local network capability, app availability, and data costs. HMD warns that video calls can consume significant mobile data and that features may vary by country. Buyers should treat Xpress Chat as a useful extra, not as a universal replacement for WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Android messaging.
